Red, White and... OMG FEED ME!

Let's be honest here, one of the best things about the 4th of July is the food! Whether it's a picnic, party, or barbecue, the only thing more exciting than lighting your little brother on fire with a roman candle is stuffing your face with a bevvy of delicious dishes.

This is not to be confused with attempting to light the bride and groom on fire. That's no bueno. But it's fun!

  11. I am a picky chef, and this was awesome (although I skipped the nutmeg since I don't care for it, ever). Really hit the spot on this rainy day in July (we live Seattle-metro area) and the kiddos loved it too! I noticed that starting with a great broth and continuing with quality ingredients really makes the difference. Also I didn't have Gouda, so just straight up cheddar turned out fabulous. Thanks for making this "sketch-free" recipe!
