Going GREEN for March!

Alright kids, you asked for it!

It seems that a ton of you were on board to feature green eats for your March What I Ate Wednesday Posts and, as Irish luck would have it, that's exactly what we did last year too!  This is fabulous for me because [1] Green is my FAVORITE, if you couldn't tell by this blog! and [2] I already have a button ready for your sassy green posts!  Let's do this!

Peas and Crayons

Whoo!] but let's take a cue from the festivities and add GREEN to our March routine!  In addition to your WIAW post, share your own tips and tricks for green-ing up your eats!  Load up on those gorgeously green fruits and vegetables and snazz up a favorite dish with a punch of color!

and anything else your creative mind can whip up <3

Ready to green your eating routine?
Here are a few tips to get you started:

Herb it up! Dust your kitchen creations with chives, basil, parsley, thyme, oregano, etc...

Take your favorite dishes to the next level by serving them on [or under!] a delicious pile of arugula  romaine, spring mix, shredded cabbage or any other leafy goodness!

Green up your breakfast by topping your oats, yogurt, pancakes, cereal and breakfast sandwiches with colorful fruits and veggies.  This is a perfect opportunity to sneak some peppers and spinach in your eggs and top your sweeter breakfasts with cinnamon-sprinkled apples or fresh kiwi!

Toss green grapes, pears, avocados, peppers, apples, spinach, or celery on your favorite salad -- they pair fabulously with greens as well as tofu, potato, chicken, and tuna salads.

Super easy, right?  And yummy!  I can't wait to drool over all your posts this month =)

    1. No need to post recipes, just an added bonus for your posts if you had some to add to a WIAW -- simply eat your greens silly! <3
